Ethiopian PM to attend China-Africa cooperation forum

Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi left for “Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on Saturday to attend the 4th ministerial meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

According to Ethiopian television report, the Sharm el Sheikh meeting is aimed at exploring new initiatives and measures on Sino-African cooperation in priority areas such as human resources development, agriculture, infrastructure development, investment and trade.

The meeting would also review the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and the Program for China-Africa Cooperation in Economic and Social Development and two documents adopted during the first ministerial meeting of the forum held in Beijing in 2006.

Leaders of various African countries are expected to attend the meeting that would be held o5″n 8-9 November
