In addition to expanding its VAIO line of notebooks, Sony has today introduced its first ever multi-touch all-in-one PC, the VAIO L series.
The system, pictured below, is designed to take advantage of the multi-touch functionality featured in Microsoftâs upcoming Windows 7 operating system.
Launching on October 22nd, the VAIO L features a 24in âwidescreen X-black LCD with Multiple Lamp Technologyâ offering a full-HD resolution.
Initially available in two flavours, the range-topping VPC-L11S1E/S will feature a 3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 500GB HDD, a Blu-ray optical drive and a DVB-T tuner.
Going down a notch, the VPC-L11M1E/S sheds both the Blu-ray drive and TV tuner, and features a 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 processor.
Both systems feature GeForce G210M graphics, Wireless N and Bluetooth connectivity, and thereâs HDMI input â allowing for the VAIO L to be used as a standalone display. Rounding off the spec is a pair of integrated 5.5W + 5.5W stereo speakers and a built-in webcam.
Very stylish and well-equipped, we reckon, but all-important pricing info has yet to be revealed. â Hexus
