Has Obama earned The Noble Peace Prize yet, or was it premature?

The Nobel Peace Prize has just been awarded to Barack Obama. It appears even he was surprised about the occurrence, as we all are. Has he done anything significant to the degree of earning a Nobel Peace Prize? Was it Premature? Did it possibly taint his legitimate future candidacy when his accomplishments may merit a Nobel Prize? What do you think?
