Do you think elbow strikes are overrated? Is it as effective as the palm-heel strike to the face? Which is going to be more effective each time but i do know the elbow is very bony and it hurts when you hit some one with it, just be careful not to hit your funny bone or you will feel it too. Thanks for the well thought out post.
Great article, I liked it.
Plenty of modern students of fighting arts teach or learn that long-range fighting (such as boxing) isn’t effective against anyone with a bit of skill in grappling.
That is why moves from the clinch like elbow strikes are worth knowing – they’re in the middle between kickboxing and grappling, wrestling, or dirty boxing.
However, most of all what I learned from this page is that I need to practice more. Thanks for the food for thought.
I think this is better than barbeque. Thanks for writing it.
