Ethiopia – Meles Zenawi on his daughter’s future role in Politics

In an interview with Addis Fortune newspaper, Ethiopian Prime Minsiter Meles Zenawi was asked if he would encourage his oldest daughter to have a role and place in public political life in Ethiopia? The Prime Minister was quoted as saying, “Fortunately, I do not make decisions for her. But if I were to make that decision, I would tell her to stay clear from this kind of life, if she possibly can. But in the end, if there is enough fire in her to make it possible to live such a life – because I do not think you can live it without adequate fire inside – and if she has that fire, then welcome to the club. But if she does not have that fire, this should be the last thing she should think of. And my advice to every kid in Ethiopia is “if you have the fire – go for it, if you do not – stay as far away from it as you possibly can for your own health”.

She is part of the new generation.
I think as she knows her father well, she realizes the wish of new generation which needs to see free of ethnic enviroment in all over Ethiopia, keeping Ethiopia’s soverginity, seeing true democracy and a state which is not blaming his fathers and ancestors………. So she is part of our generation not the passing one. Therefore what ever Meles wishes for his doughter her wish will not be varie with the new generation.Wish remaines as wish. While vision can be converted to reality.

I would like to thank prime minister melese for his advice. He does not pushed her to involve in politics but he gave her chance to chose or not ,that is really an intellectual thought not only that ,but also he tried to initiate all Ethiopian kids those who have fire inside them for their purpose not only for politics .In addition to him I also encourage you my beloved Ethiopian friend “don’t lose your hope,be a visionary you will succeed it”.

I opine that to get the business loans from creditors you ought to have a good motivation. But, one time I have received a short term loan, because I wanted to buy a car.

    Great post, I liked it.

Many today’s students of fighting arts know that outfighting (such as boxing or kickboxing) isn’t very effective against anyone with skill in wrestling.

For that reason, close-range or clinching techniques like elbow strikes are of utmost importance – they’re in between kickboxing and grappling, wrestling, or clinch techniques.

However, most of all I figured out from this post is that I need some more practice. Thanks a lot.

    Great article, I liked it.

Plenty of modern students of fighting systems know that distance fighting (such as boxing or kickboxing) isn’t very effective against someone with some training in wrestling.

For those reasons, clinching moves like elbow strikes are so important – they are in the middle between boxing and grappling, sports wrestling, or dirty boxing.

But for the most part I figured out from this article is that I need some more practice. Thanks a lot.

Great article, most of it is right on the money.

Plenty of today’s practicioners of martial arts systems understand that long-range fighting (such as boxing or kickboxing) isn’t likely to work against anyone with knowlege in grappling or wrestling.

That’s why clinching moves like elbow strikes are of utmost importance – they are a middle ground between stand-up striking and full-on grappling, sports wrestling, or clinch techniques.

But mostly what I learned from your posts is that I need more practice. Thanks for the food for thought.

Nice article, I’ve learned some new bits of knowledge from you.

Most modern students of fighting systems understand that outfighting (such as kickboxing) isn’t very effective against someone with knowlege in wrestling.

That is why moves from the clinch like elbow strikes are worth knowing – they’re in the middle between standup striking and groundfighting, sports wrestling, or clinch fighting and dirty boxing.

But most of all what I’ve come to realize from this page is that I need some more practice. Thanks for the food for thought.
