As Ethiopia mourns the passing of musical legend Tilahun Gessesse, an anticipated high-profile concert has been postponed. Musical superstars Aster Awek, Gosaye Tesfaye and Pras Michel were scheduled to perform this upcoming Saturday April 25 at the well known Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa.
Due to the passing of Tilahun, event organizers have decided to postpone the concert and will reschedule it for Sat May 9,2009.
A pledge has also been made by the organizers that a portion of the proceeds from the concert earnings will go towards the publication of Tilahun’s biography which will be written by the Ethiopian Writers Association.
