Running Meb Keflezighi Wins Half Marathon Title

Meb Keflezighi, the 2004 Olympic marathon runner-up, surged to an early lead and won the men’s United States half-marathon championship in Houston. Keflezighi, an American who was born in Eritrea, won in 1 hour 1 minute 25 seconds. Magdalena Lewy-Boulet, a Beijing Olympic marathoner, won the women’s title in 1:11:47.
