Ethiopia to introduce new science, technology, innovation policies

(ENA) The Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST)of Ethiopia said on Thursday that new science, technology and innovation policies and strategies would be designed.
Speaking at the opening of the 14th young researchers’ workshop in Addis Ababa, MoST minister, Junedin Saddo said the government would produce policies and strategies enabling to solve socioeconomic problems in the country.
In this regard, the minster said, MoST will make an effort to put in place the right science and technology policy and subsequent strategies in accordance with the country’s development strategies.
He said the new policy will focus on the enhancing indigenous technologies .
Various research and development works undertaken by young researchers would be presented in the two-day workshop.
